About

Tempted as I am to list my multitudinous roles in life here, I won’t. This blog is me. I write all the parts of me on here. I do it because I’m learning to be vulnerable, to let all the things show–good-hearted, nasty, funny, grief-stricken, and self-involved. Mostly I am funny, but sometimes pensive or sad or angry.

Also, I love words. My favorite today (and likely forever) is Nantucket. Just say it. I’ll give you a moment.

God. Doesn’t that feel good coming out of you? Nantucket feels like a proclamation if you say it right.

Stanley is my favorite name. I tried to name my daughter Stanley. Alas, it didn’t work out. She has much lovelier name and I’m sure, a much more intact psyche.

I would like to live here.

Smart, dead guys really turn me on: Thoreau, Emerson, Einstein, King…And I would marry rich, brilliant, flawed Mr. Rochester in a second–blind or not.

Please God, let him look something like this.
